FAQ
Grading
How long does grading take?
Turnaround depends on the service tier you choose at checkout. Estimated processing times for each level are listed on our Shipping & Turnaround page. Times start when your package is received and logged — not when you place the order.
How are grades determined?
Every card is assessed against our published Grading Standards — condition, surface, corners and edges, centreing, and category-specific traits. The same criteria apply to every submission. See our How Grading Works page for the full seven-step process.
Do you authenticate items?
Where authentication applies to your card category, we run authenticity checks before grading proceeds. Not every category requires the same level of scrutiny. If an item cannot be authenticated to our satisfaction, we'll explain the outcome under our Submission Agreement.
What do I receive with a graded card?
Every graded card receives professional assessment, secure protective encapsulation, a unique certificate number, QR code verification, and digital certificate lookup — giving you confidence whether you're displaying, trading, buying, or selling.
Can I ask questions about a completed grade?
Yes. If you'd like to understand a grade you've received, our team will review the grading report and explain the factors that contributed to the final assessment. Visit our Grade Review & Support page for how to get in touch and what to expect.
What if I'm not happy with my grade?
In the unlikely event you are not satisfied with a grading, please contact us with your certificate or order reference. We can provide detail on your grade and explain how the final grade was made up — which aspects of condition were assessed, how they align with our published Grading Standards, and what contributed to the outcome.
Every grade is supported by our documented process and quality-control checks. In the rare event that a grading or labelling error is identified, we will investigate and take appropriate corrective action..
